How did you get into snowboarding?
I always skated as a grommet, so I was very intrigued to start snowboarding. I just wasn't willing to switch because I didn't want to be bad at it, when I was good at skiing. I made the transition from skiing after I badly broke my left arm and had to take off 2 years to heal.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
In highschool, I missed a lot of school competeing and going to training camps with the Jr National Team for snowboarding. I still strived for good grades and taking difficult classes. I went to tutoring programs to keep up and I had many after school makeup sessions with my teachers. It was really hard trying to balance everything and excel, but it was worth the outcome.
What are your future plans for snowboarding?
I desire to contibute to womens snowboarding in a positive way. I would love to see the sport grow more and more. I would love for the sport to gain respect from all audiences and i will do what I can to be a part of that.
