By common mythology you mean Tolkien mythology.

If you want to get technical, the concept of a planeswalker was around in fantasy lore a long time before any of those games. Saying MtG stole the idea from anywhere would be like saying that they, or any of the other million games out there, stole the concept of elves. Really, noone did, they are just all banking on common mythology.

They gave away free bottles of this stuff at the M10 prerelease in Boston... they all taste terrible. The bubblegum flavored blue on is by far the worst though.

Actually, "hank", this is a great collectors' opportunity. Not to drink of course. The basic standards apply to things like NASCAR soda cans.

this is so shamless... almost $20 plus shipping. You know how many card you can get for that online? It's almost enough to make me ashamed to play magic.

Actually the Manual of the Planes from TSR (TSR 2022) came out in 1987. While this was not Planescape, it did provide the basis for Planescape.

Magic: The Gathering = 1993
Planescape = 1994

What I don't quite understand is why they make this a MtG-specific beverage rather than make any mention of the actual Planescape world and game that MtG cannibalized. Or am I just an overly-sensitive dice-chucker?

how are they going to shaft Ajani like this?
he's the OG, not Elspeth.

I ordered 2 12-packs several weeks ago. The candy I ordered at the same time arrived... along with an invoice indicating this item was on back-order. I still have not received, and my card was already billed.

Saw this as an ad on Facebook and thought I was hallucinating. Twittered about it, people thought I was nuts. Now i'm stoked, not crazy, and telling EVERYONE I KNOW who plays magic. Way sexy.
