Wow, it felt like a real skate show! This was the first show on the entire tour so far that has allowed skateboarding in the venue…and it was awesome! There were tons of kids everywhere gliding around doing tricks and hoping some big shot would notice them and make them famous! Kids were so pumped up!! It was funny because so many kids came up to me asking if I could get Jones soda to be their sponsor! I had to break the news to them that I was a nobody and the only thing I could do for them was quench their thirst with a few samples! I was really impressed with the skills these kids had though. Gotta give it to all of you up-and-coming skater kids, don’t worry your time will come!
I’m telling ya, kids were just super talkative at this show! They were so curious to know if I had met any of the pros, when I said that I had, they wanted to know every detail about them! They were even asking me how they could get a job like this on a tour like this just to get closer to the pros! It was really cute, I’m glad to know there’s tons of ambitious kids out there!
The kids that kept me the most occupied however were the MS Skaters! Whooo Hooo! You kids rocked! They kept me so much company and had such great convo, Hope you boys are sporting those Jones T-shirts I hooked you up with, everywhere you go! And don’t forget about us when you’re big time K?!
Oh and I’ve gotta give a shout out to the dude that took a knee straight to the jewels just for a picture on the Jones Website! You’re a trooper man!
After the show, Jordan and I decided to end off the night just right! Throughout the East coast, we have been on a mission to get our gritty little hands on some White Castle sliders…and FINALLY we hunted one down along the way! We had to take a detour and got a bit lost because of it! But it was worth it!
See ya in Philly guys!
